While at this unique and dynamic solar company, I updated their brand while keeping their existing logo and fonts. I was able to take a look at all web services and brought their annual app hosting expenses from $120k+ a year to only $600 a year by taking all existing I.P. and web apps and recreating their old app environment in Elementor, WordPress, and AI generated CSS.

Starting at Kota, I was immediately impressed by their approachable company culture geared to help men in their early 20’s empower themselves. This company culture led the brand expression and copy voice for all documents. I came up with a plan to gamify the training process through AI generated imagery, UI patterns, and copy would inspire and engage new reps, creating a feeling of safety as they tackled the often difficult process of door-to-door sales.

Stationary

All stationary was created using Canva Templates. This allowed for dozens of rep managers to take a template and fill in the details of any form, letter, or social post and utilize it with a specific message for their team without the need for constant designer communication.

Kota’s “Bootcamp” Training App designed to function as both a training platform and a presentation tool. Created in Figma, the app offers a clear interface with minimal flourishes, utilizing background images to bring excitement while keeping the interface clean. It was implemented using Elementor and WordPress, providing a responsive and functional structure. Depicter was used to add transitions and animations, enhancing the presentation aspect while Google Analytics integration allows for tracking of each user and their time spent in each app and each screen. The project demonstrates a practical approach to combining design and functionality for effective learning, enhancing teaching through excitement, and ease of presentation. It was also designed with file structure and ease of use for the designer (current and future) and quick updates for when curriculum needed changing.

Kota was a joy to work on for the year I was there. I still talk with several company leaders regularly and have maintained good rapport and friendship with the Kota Fam. I’m proud of the work I did with them and the laughter and ambition that was often a theme of pretty much every interaction.
