Inception was a referral from Ruck's CEO. It's purpose is to validate and test as many start-up ideas as possible, moving start-ups through Inception's process and funding the successful experiments while also attaching a CEO to each project. After several meetings with the founder, we moved to logo discovery and several branding prototypes through social media discovery and Midjourney AI discovery. Once we settled on visuals, I designed the pitch deck and the first round of start-up brands. Inception is currently in it's seed round of funding.

AI DISCOVERY THROUGH MIDJOURNEY
Finding, exploring, and utilizing new brand aesthetics through Midjourney and ChatGPT has proven quite effective compared to previous methods. In the past, researching aesthetics has proven difficult as people are limited by their exposure to art history and the specific artists that influenced their artistic journey. Now, by prompting ChatGPT for new ideas and lists of potential artists and aesthetics, designers can take those names, styles, and aesthetics to Midjourney and create brands in hours instead of months. Designers are also able to branch out to new ideas quickly and create component libraries with ease.
In the below examples, I was able to quickly run through ideas for metal work, explore unique geometric shapes to influence the brand, and curate high quality components to be used in future designs.

Inception, as a pre-seed start-up, asked for my every available skillset and challenged me regularly. As well as managing the design of the initial brand and two new brands a week for start-ups in their system, I was tasked with recruiting and hiring their marketing team by calling the local colleges, finding prospective Juniors and Seniors with the correct skillsets, conducting interviews, and leading team meetings.
